2.The wind does not go straight through the fabric

3.Drizzle runs off instead of soaking in
The surface is water repellent. In drizzle and wet snow the drops sit on top of the fabric for a while instead of going straight in.
That does not make them rain trousers, and we are not claiming it does. It means a grey November walk does not end in cold, wet thighs.
